Open Mind

by Eduardo Lazalde   Jun 8, 2012

I seek truth in this world of lies.
My mind as been claimed to be violent.
I use my words I refuse to be silent.
Society will label me, but God will judge me.
What can one person do to point out our deadly view?
I seek wisdom in the words of the dead.
Trying to change this world full of bloodshed.
I'm trying to make a change before my mind get blasted.
All around me is racist faces with hearts of hatred.
We can make this one better place if we erase the wasted.

We got to open our eyes if we are meant to survive.
This place of lies, we got to open our hearts and open our minds.
I don't know about the rest of the world but I'm not ready to die.

We were born into the same world.
Took over the same world.
Now we're destroying the same world.
I'm never ignorant getting goals accomplished.
If the rest of the world would open up their hearts of hatred.
Then the world would understand why is it I spread this.
Who words I'm trying to express.
Ever since the day of my birth it's just me against the world.
Against all odds, growing up against all Gods!
We're all equal, but different.
Some can see, others refuse to use their eyes and just accept lies.

We got to open our eyes if we are meant to survive.
This place of lies, we got to open our hearts and open our minds.
I don't know about the rest of the world but I'm not ready to die.

In the end we got nothing to lose but ourselves.
I live under Thug Life.
Despite what I've seen, the way my heart continues to bleed.
I will live with my head up high, express my words and smoke some weed.
That's just me.
My mind, my words are weapons; I'm stepping into the light.
Trying to spread the truth, hoping I don't die tonight.
I refuse to be silent, the only way my words will shine.
Only way the world will see, with an open mind.
