Interesting write, about the idea about the windows and knowing the soul.

I can relate somehow to this piece, it's really interseting and at the same time , it is sad.

This is very sad and emotional and coming
from your heart. This is the way you feel.
People look at us like we are being selfish
what they don't understand is the pain
    we are feeling
I think it is a cry for help
I am going through the same thing

I have to say that is a really interesting poem, Kristen. It is a deep poem that almost anyone can relate to :)

"you say that our eyes are the windows to our soul
I've gotten pretty good at keeping both of mine closed
and if you catch me looking, all you'll find are two holes
but it's easier that way, I suppose"

^ This is my absolute favorite part right here. I really like how you used the popular saying that "our eyes are windows to our souls" and how you went against it. It signifies that you don't want people to know what is really going on inside your head. However, why is that? Don't you want people to know what is going on? Don't you want people to help/listen to you? Or are you giving up because you don't really see a meaning in life? Many different conclusions can be drawn here...since you are the author only you know.

    "I guess I'm just a little scared
    that I'll look inside
    and come to find
that I'm too far gone to even care"

^This is my second favorite part. This part is really full of emotion, even though you might not intend it to be. I can tell that you don't want to disappear, but yet at the same time you are tired of being treated the way you are. Too scared to look inside...interesting.

Overall, this is an excellent poem, Kristen. I am glad that you started writing again :)

    Excellent
