Unwritten Book (acrostics)

by Meena Krish   Jun 11, 2012

Under a blanket of words lies a forgotten story
Never able to show its face upon a ruled page
Weight of an untold sin wanders with misery
Reluctant to pen its pain and lock it in a blue cage,
Ink of truth slowly trickles onto the lifeless book
Torrent of emotion struggles to burst open its gate
Tucking away fears the past creeps out like a crook
Eclipsed moment, takes a breath awaiting its fate as
Nestled thoughts get ready to leave a bleak world behind;

But scars from the past not prepared to give up freedom
Oppose pen's voice to spill the heaviness from its chest
Ocean of regret quickly retreats into a dark kingdom
Killing inner peace, sin and misery hand in hand take rest.

Sometimes the greatest enemy to inner peace is just ourself. The right person to trust, who doesn't judge, who understands and listens. Who is just a ear to absorb the pain can relieve the burden. What a wonderful write you penned, written so well because your understand this pain and you always penn with emotion. You know also this pain can be released, the day will come when time decides its enough, and the door opens for it to leave. "Bravo"

This is sadly beautifully. It radiates the feelings of uncertainty and fates obligations. We all at times get muddled in emotional turmoil with lifes' unexpectancy. We feel incapable of confronting the demons in us. A further relapse to dwell in misery and despair. One needs to in all ramifications of life, thrive through emotional pangs of unfortunate circumstances. To effortlessly go with the flow and clear off prejudice.

Perseverance, diligence, relentless faith and an ambivalent spirit to persue even under detrimental causes. Such can sweep off ones cloud of misfortune, miseries and despondency. Life can never be in ones favour but one can see to its fruition with patience and determination.

I love the images it creates, your metaphors are absolutely brilliant and tangible. I'm really impressed with this piece, take care.
    Cheerio! ;) ..

  • When I saw it was an acrostic poem, I almost skipped on past.... But this is amazing!
Usually, acrostic poems lack depth and originality, but this achieved both perfectly.

I will not be so quick to judge a style I usually dont like next time.

    A beautiful write. 5/5
