Are any of your poems NOT amazing? totally dig the story here. It's so rare to find a poet who's every poem you thoroughly enjoy reading. It's so strange how refreshing that is. I cant believe you were about to leave this site, where you go... I will likely follow. I've yet to find a better poem site them Poems and quotes.com. You heard of any?

His Heart like 'ole Teddy', now battered and old
Despite all that wear, still shines like Gold
Needs someone to love, a girl just like 'she'
To share all his warmth, and with him, just be

    - This verse made me cry, beautifully put. 5/5

    Peter,
A wonderful poem here, full of great rhyming and the sentiment left me feeling rather sad for "ole Teddy"! Those last two lines almost brought a grown man to tears!.....Damn you, good fellow!
All the best and I hope you are well and have had a wonderful Christmas,
    Ben

    Hello Peter,

Great metaphor. We are all lovable, cuddly Teddies aren't we. It is such a shame when the love of an 'life' owner is so hard to find.

I remember writing a poem about an old, unwanted Teddy in a shop window. He was so sad that all the other battery operated toys had been sold, leaving him 'unsold' I won't spoil the ending, though predictable it is.

Anyway, we all deserve happy endings.

This is a good write and like your other work shows off your amazing talent.

    Take care,

    Michael
