Women of the world

by Brook   Jun 13, 2012

You lead me on, just to tear me down,
You walk away, without a sound,
You give me hope; then shatter it all,
You make no attempt to catch my fall,
You build me up, then then walk away,
You no try, Because you don't want to stay,
You have my heart, this, you know,
You make it look easy each time to go
Why can't you once, just face your fears,
We've repeated this cycle, for many years,
You move on, I'm stuck right here,
Afraid to move, afraid you'll care,
Seems you do when you think I'm gone,
You'll come back, just to lead me on,
I'll fall into you, hang on your word,
Praying this time We will work,
I do it again and again,
Secretly hoping the cycle will end,
But you'll never change, so it's up to me,
To walk away, to set me free,
I have loved you far too long,
This is the end of our beautiful song,
I gave you my heart, I gave you my soul,
You don't want it, so ill let you go,
Tears in my eyes, never known such pain,
But in leaving you, my heart I'll gain,
I will Love you always, for it's all I know
But good things shall come, to those who let go,
No more playing with my heart, no emotions on a string,
My tears now fall in a never ending stream,
As I softly whisper,
"I no longer wish to be you're girl,
so now i give you, to the women of the world".

This is good, written with simple words but I think the most effective ones to get the message thru and it got thru, at least thats what I think. Really sad love poem but I enjoyed reading this cause its so true and is experienced by most, and whether by a girl or a guy btw. Real good one.
