Love is too fast

by Sean Ooi   Jun 15, 2012

Love is too fast
Too deadly
Hate comes last
But too slowly

How I wish the damned could rise
How I wish love won't tell lies
I was too blind to see
That true love wasnt to be

The fast was too fast
The slow was too slow
The pain I took from the prolonged snow
Left me shivering numb and cold

My heart cut out
My soul torn now
My lifeblood spilling on frosted ground
How I wish true love didn't bound

But from within
I found new purpose to live
Flames melted the ice
Pain was swift to leave

The promised hatred entered my life
My infinite sadness changed to anger
I reached into me and ended her life
Leaving nothing of her in my eyes

I banished her from my heart
Placed a seal on where love lived
So that I couldn't be cut by broken shards
Of a shattered heart again.
