Shining Light

by Thomas   Jun 15, 2012

For all my attraction
to the dark and morbid
You are the light
that shines right through it

With the smile
you haven been blessed with
The one you blame me for
Which was my greatest gift

To kiss your soft lips
would make all of this complete
Would force this darkness
into defeat

During all that
I would hold you close
So my strong arms
could shield you off

From the hurt and the pain
caused by this world
And give you a space
where your love isn't in vain

I often wonder about that myself
I always believed there was nothing
    greater than love.
