My Window

by Some Random Human   Jun 22, 2012

Awake at night, a bright light,
shines through my window,
I can't pretend, no,
well I can't pretend, and I can't defend,
I'm feeling helpless,
I couldn't help this,
I scream for help, but I might as well,
just keep quiet,
my screams are silent,
wherever you are, you can't be far,
'cause I still feel you,
and get the chills too,

I can't forget the rain that falls,
I can't forget your voice, it calls,
and I'm dying, but I'm still trying,
I hear you say that you don't care,
I hear you say, but you're still there,
outside my window, this wound won't mend, though,

This dark is real, and yet I still,
look out my window,
can we make amends, no,
I can't amend, this broken end,
I'm feeling worthless,
do I deserve this,
I call to you, but we're through,
so you don't listen,
and now I'm missin',
the days gone by, and still I cry,
I can't shake this,
and I can't take this,

I can't forget the rain that falls,
I can't forget your voice, it calls,
and I'm dying, but I'm still trying,
I hear you say that you don't care,
I hear you say, but you're still there,
outside my window, this wound won't mend, though,

I can't forget the rain still falls,
I can't forget your voice, it calls,
and I'm dying, why am I trying,
I hear you say that you don't care,
I hear you say, but you're not there,
outside my window, it was pretend, though,
you were pretend, oh...
