Two-Faced

by Thomas   Jun 23, 2012

Your rejection
I just cannot forget
Cause I never expected
That type of reaction

It seemed like you had forgotten
The real face of a relationship
Which is really two-faced
Cause it is dark and light

You rejected my sadness
And wanted to shut yourself of
From the darkness that roams
Within this world of ours

I really try
To act as your friend
But this memory of ours
Tries to force me into dissent

Can this last?
I don't know
But to you, my real face
Will never show

Thomas- You really packed a powerful punch of emotions within this piece.. I too have felt these emotions long ago, and I really loved how you pieced this together... Love the ending!

On a technical note: I believe you meant to say "off" in the third stanza, ending second line...

Awesome piece you have penned here..
