Cliche Poetry

by Sunshine   Jun 24, 2012

I love you like you're
the last hope for my hunger,
as if each morning hides
in your eyes,
like the night sleeps
behind your shoulders,
it's all within you
that existence lies.

I remember dying
for minutes when
we first met,
your perfect odor
held my breath,
my heart skipped a beat,
your soul stole mine,
and just before I noticed it,
the scared skin I've
been hiding, glowed
perfectly fair,
perfectly fine.

I love you like you're
the last cure for my silence,
as if each word hides
in your eyes,
like comfort wakes
on your shoulders,
it's all within you
that my happiness lies.

unfinished cheesy cliche poem. I love cheese anyway.
I love cliche. nothing is wrong with cliche.

I am really sorry if I am invading space here but kind of wrote something as an extension of this one . . . got inspired after reading this :D

    "I love you like you're
the last drug for my addiction,
    as if each dream hides
    in your eyes,
    like the magic lives
    on those lips,
    it's all within you
    that my liberation lies."

    Hun!

I love that you are writing something with a positive, happy and love tone!

The first two lines made me think though, the last hope for hunger.

I keep thinking that may have something to do with your past relationships and how you feel they may have failed you. Maybe you think this is your last hope in being able to feel love (which I don't believe because you woman, are lovable)

The second stanza was gorgeous. I love how you have described that you died for a few minutes when meeting this person. It made me think of how when in movies you see the person walk in and everything becomes slow motion, everything freezes and slows down, you're focusing on this one person. Like love at first sight.

    A BEAUTIFUL POEM HUN
