Maybe I'm Addicted

by Maria   Jun 30, 2012

Maybe I'm addicted to nice handwriting,
or the choice of words someone uses for their poem.
Maybe I'm addicted to relaxing and peacuful
ocean sounds.
Maybe I'm addicted to tempting clothes
and cold hands that reach for their lover.
Maybe it's just the soft breeze that tickles my ear,
or the picturesque landscapes that I visit in my dreams.
Maybe I'm addicted to depressing love songs
or beautiful but empty frames.
Maybe I'm addicted to inviting smiles and warm hugs.
Maybe I'm only craving for someone's touch,
Maybe I'm longing for someone's attention
and for someone's eyes to meet mine.
Maybe I don't love you, but I love all you would give me.
Maybe I'm not in love with you, but I'm in love with love.
But dear, before you walk away and take my heart with you,
look at me for the last time and remember these words:
I would still be with you even if you had nothing to give me.
