This path is for me
and nobody else
This road is my own
I built it myself
My final destination is unknown
My future hasn't been foretold
And it may not be finished
before I'm withered and old
But my vision is clearer
than on the chosen paths I could have taken
And I'm more sturdy and stable
when my world gets all shaken
People seem befuddled, because they haven't
seen what I've seen
So they don't and never will understand this dream
No one can truly relate, because they haven't walked beside me
I refuse to dwell on the past, but use lessons learned to guide me
On this path I will find and fulfill myself
