Sad Sob

Here I am arriving at home with the hope of seeing her smile
The smile that brightens up my life
Here I am hoping to hear her easygoing voice
Uttering words that guides and keeps me grounded
Here I am hoping that my brothers and sisters
Will suck from the same oozing breasts
Breast that nurtured not only me but our parents as well
Here I am expecting to be welcomed at home
But she's no longer part of the family
For utterances directed at her made her feel unwelcomed

Your absence left a huge void in my life
Your absence left our eyes flooded with tears
Tears of agony running down our faces
Your absence left me wondering who'll be a backbone of this dilapidated home

I miss your unchanging love for your family
Like a hen, you kept us safe under your wing
And when fights amongst us cropped up
The warmth of your wing united and calmed us down

Come back Mama we miss your presence
Come back and be the mine of information to our children as well
Come back our home is cold without you

Here I am patiently waiting to welcome you back
For your presence is enough backbone to see us through this difficult period
