Arrested Development

My husband, Mr. Pike
is going on a hunger strike,
say's "I refuse to eat your casserole"
It's not fit to be served, not even to a troll".

I continue to perfect my special dish,
to place a smile on his face is what I wish,
he's tossed me into cooking jail,
because my meals have grown quite stale.

I can't cook to save my soul,
I hope one day, I'll be placed on food parole.

    What an awesome title for your poem. It really intrigued me as I thought you were going to write something about the TV show called Arrested Development. Have you ever seen it? It is one of my fav's.

    The show is quite funny and the way they present it reminds me of Modern Family. I love that style!

    The poem you wrote was very funny! I quite like that you have put your own cooking skills down in a way but you've shown it in a more positive light. It kind of reminds me of my own cooking skills. I can make certain things but not as good as I'd like to make other things.

    I am sure that there are a lot of woman, and men who can relate to this.

    A really enjoyable read. Thanks for the laugh.

    Hahaha, Mr. Pike, naughty man! I would suggest that you allow him to do all his own cooking for a whole week and see how he likes that.

    I am sure he will very quickly learn to appreciate what he will be missing. Put him in cooking jail, hahaha!

    Woops, better not let my sweet Colette see this as it will give her ideas too! Hahaha, LMAO!

    BTW, I love the title, you would not be referring to Mr Pike would you, hehehe?
