Sleeping pain

by Muran   Jul 5, 2012

When the breeze
Brought me the fragrance
I knew she is on the corridor
Though I couldn't open my eyes
An energy engrossed in my body
I could visualize
She is walking to my bed
Sat next to me
Her fingers touched my fingers
An electric wave
Gone through my body
How are you, she asked
How is the pain now?
Getting better
Relieved very much
I am still on sedation
I want to see you
But I could not open my eyes
She said, that's fine
She don't know that
Seeing her would relieve my pain
Rather than any medicines
Going through my veins
What happened actually?
I was walking at night time
A car hit me and runaway
I was on this bed, when I awake
Sorry to hear that
I am sure you will be alright soon
Three months to walk
That's what doctor said
These medicines must be killing you
Yes, but they are a must now
Nurse didn't do a good job
I could see swelling next to the needles
No, they are trying to save me
You are lucky
Yes, I am still alive
I am leaving and
I have good news for you
What is it?
I am getting married next week
A lightning gone through my heart
All my pains rushed to one part
My heart
I pressed my left hand on my chest
I took a long long breath and said
Congratulations..
Thank you and another good news is
I will fly away within another week
So I may not see you any more
I tried to smile and said
I am helpless to give you a shake hand
Take it easy, bye, she said
When she walked away
I used all my energy
To open my eyes
To see her one last time
Before she leave
I tried to see through my half opened eyes
I couldn't see her well
Because my eyes were full
Like a shadow she walked away
She didn't know
She is walking away with my life.
