It Was Me

by Weeping Willow   Jul 6, 2012

I am the straw that broke the camels back
I caused the old man's heart attack
The hole in the o zone, yea that was me
A walking, breathing, catastrophe

I opened pandoras box
And unhinged the hell's gate locks
I took from the rich and gave to myself
I drank the liquor on the shelf
I snorted a mountain and then robbed the store
I'd do anything for money to score.

It is i who got drunk and beat his wife
Another shot another step to escaping life
I passed out on the kitchen floor
While the children slowly walked out the door

I am the reason for all the pain in the world
A quick thought and my deviance unfurls
Blame me for all the hurt
Because thats how i feel
I feel all the hurt too
under my plate of steel

I love the flow of this poem. I very much enjoyed it. How they blame themselves is very creative because most people blame others. good job. :)
