The Darkened Path

As she walks down the darkened path
The one that will not clear
She remembers who she left behind
The one she held so dear

His beautiful sparkling eyes
And short sandy hair
Now that she is all alone
She is feeling rather bare

She knows that she can turn around
Return from whence she came
But something's telling her that if she does
Things will never be the same

So she continues moving forward
Searching for the light
And slowly but painfully
He disappears out of sight
