A Roach Couple and the Age Dream

by Khalid M Darwish   Jul 6, 2012

Roach and his female

Abandoned in a bedroom

In a hole in the wall they meet

His female came on the spot

Despite all situations

the son of neighbors is watching her

and so is the cousins

The poor guy came out of the hole

With a sweet voice called her

My cricket ... magic

My hope of life ... and heart

What an enticing peering out!

Yours, the bright eye!

Tell me how you're late

Were you in the barber?

Oh! What a nice body you have!

I could skip all the guards

And in favor of you neither afraid of anything

Nor even the sweeper's brush

C'mon sweet and meet me

Between your arms wrap me

I'm not asking anything in this world

For me your six legs are enough

For you I created the den

So we spend the age in

As long as you are beside me, my heart

I won't be afraid of a cat or a mouse

C'mon my sweet let's dine

And till party porch walk

As long as your arm hug me

Won't be afraid of steam or spray

His cricket is hanging

At the hole in the wall and watching

Called: Shut up, foolish!

What's this? Aren't you ashamed?

Yelled the unashamedly Roach

I yearn to wrapping you in a hurry

In your eyes my dreams were housing

My dream of age and hope

His cricket joyed with the command

Immediately ran towards the den

She sang with beau

We achieved our age dream

I'll tell one thing Maple Tree! You've made the main favor to me by giving me the main idea for this poem when you said "cockroaches are making love on my bed" in one of your poems. So I can't deny this fact. Really I love all your poems and this pushed me to choose you as one of my favorite authors.
      Good luck my friend!
