Lost love

by Siviwe Siretshe   Jul 9, 2012

I heard your voice calling
The earth grumbled,
The world crumbled
And up above, the sky gazing
Looking at me, silent with a false smile

I cried in despair
Then I saw you standing
Folding your arms like my puppy sleeping
Like an effigy you never reached out
Not even your heart heard my cry for help
Like a lost sheep in the jungle
I'm lost without you

Then my mother woke me up
It was a dream, but a dream became a reality
