The Letter A

( another poem done for a challenge, using a letter and the words made from that letter. )

All she ever wanted was to be loved
And all that she got was abuse.
Anxiety taking over her life
Anger and fear trapped inside.

An alarm went of at an early age
Of him she was always afraid.
Answers she just couldn't find,
So alone and ashamed she stayed.

Adults could not see the abuse
Accused her of seeking attention.
Always accused of having attitude
As yet again, another victim is abandoned.
