Paranoid of anger

Phew! Something that is not about abusive relationships...I was getting a little overwhelmed for some reason. I am not trying to offend you when I say this, it is just that I get really emotional :/

'No matter how much you try
You will never understand
The fear of being shouted at
I face it every day'

^ I understand it, a lot. Except mine isn't with being shouted at, mine is with judging. I always think that people are judging because of the way that they say things to me, which really makes me angry when the person doesn't even know me. Most of us feel this way sometimes, I can almost guarantee you that. I am glad that you decided to write something like this.

'Paranoid that I'll do wrong
That someone will get cross
Only I can see a smile
And mistake it for an angry face'

^ There are a lot of things that I like about this stanza. I like the word paranoid - it is a very strong word to me. I would not say that it is a disgraceful word, but more of a psychological one. When I say this, I mean that is a word that causes people to worry. I like it here in this stanza, and in the title as well because it draws my attention. Another word that sticks out to me is the word 'cross.' I haven't really heard that expression on this site, and I love hearing it. It is weird I know, but I just like that you used it :]

There is no constructive criticism here. I like that you tried a new style - this is the first of your poems that I have read that is not rhyming. Free style is fun sometimes, don't you think?
