It's Always Been You

by bob   Jul 10, 2012

Thoughts of you still stir within my memory,
With pen in hand the last rhyming words I wrote,
Words filled with honesty and emotions,
Lyrics longing to be joined to wondrous notes.

Without music they are simply words on paper
They have a life but have yet to come alive,
Much like a child that never gets a chance to blossom,
And must struggle day to day to just survive.

Someday my words will meet that special someone,
Someone that can bring life to words that rhyme,
With this perhaps will come a new beginning,
And bring a purpose to this empty life of mine.

I really like this piece and I think a lot of people can relate to it. Very well written and very simple but not so memorable or flavorful
