The abuse we receive not only scars are physically but mentally also, and those scars can last a lifetime.
I like that at the end, you have come out fighting: 'Abuse will not define me!'
There are ways to turn the abuse into something positive, even if it still remains within our minds and haunts us. We can help others and make a positive impact.
As long as we think positively, and don't let depression take hold, it can be overcome.
A few typos to make note of:
Third stanza, first line;
'theres' should be 'there's '
Fourth stanza; third line;
'mroe' should be 'more'
Remain strong and determined and you can beat the darkness that the abuse brings forth.
