Someone for guidance

Lost, afraid and lonely
Emotions I have felt
Betrayal and avoidance
Yes, this too I have dealt

With no love or encouragement
I followed in the crowd
With no advice or anything
To no one I have bowed

But now I realise I need you
Your holiness and power
I need your encouragement
Your love and your sweet flower

I need someone for guidance
So now to Jesus I turn
Redeemed and committed
For now I will not burn
