    This is very true. I think the haiku can be slightly altered in syllables. I have seen this done many times in examples where I have studied them for a writing group. I think most of forms of writing are sometimes tweaked a bit and in my opinion that is ok as long as you can pull it off, which I believe you have done.

    I think you have 7,7,6 syllables.

    I heard a haiku can also be compose of 14 or 17 syllables, without falling the 5,7,5.
    Though, I'm still not sure how that works.

    But I do agree, we have to try our very best.
