Insensibility

by Meme   Jul 20, 2012

Walking by the fine lines
of our past yesterdays,
I reckoned a different view,
but there I was stumbling upon
those still exsiccated words
you once wrote to me.

When drifting away was your
idea of a great escape. An
awayness from both of us
-me and your beating heart-
but a prisoners to my own
exhausted thoughts is how
you left me.

No longer recalling when I last
took a deep breath; since your
name becoming something I
always chocked upon. There was
only a little left of you, I knew it
every time my heart decided to
skip a beat.

My insensibility made its own
decision to go looking for you,
and when I had no more doubt
that you were already gone
I remembered you in the same
place I once forgot you in
-my heart.
