Tired

by Chris   Jul 28, 2012

Everyday is a war for me
Even myself has turned on me
Pushing me into a hole of depression
Swallowing my mind in darkness

Every time I think I found the light
In it swoops enveloping me in the night
It's cold embrace never letting me escape
No matter how hard I try to be Houdini

I'm tired oh so tired
Of living in this hell I created
But nothing I do improves my life
Instead sending me plummeting further down

I enjoyed reading this poem dispite how sad it is. Its definitely relatable, i have feel this way often in my life. I love the rhyme scheme you used, perfect for this piece. All around its a wonderful piece full of raw emotion (which always makes for good poetry.) 5/5

Funny thing, this poem sounds so familiar. Guess life just has it's way of dumping it's shit on us.
