I am drowning
in the tidal waves I've swallowed
I am deafened
with their roar.
At times I wonder
how a single person
can carry such a storm--
are there others, sailing
on raging, secret seas,
choking on the waves
while the sky darkens
in their eyes?
My head pounds.
I am torn with the thunder,
watching as the whitecaps
seek to devour me,
frothing,
rabid.
