Chasing confidence

So many people think I am shy
and my confidence is low.
But it really doesn't take much
for my confidence to grow.
A depression lives inside of me
and the darkness takes control.
When that over powers me,
my confidence is stole.
It often seems unfair
when my breathing will not calm
because without my confidence
I can't be who I am.
I have anxiety problems
that make me feel alone.
Like entering new buildings
or just talking on the phone.
But when I have my confidence
these tasks become alright
because when I am confident
there's nothing I can't fight.

    This was a really nice poem :)........you can achieve almost anything with having confidence but also you know yourself you have the potential to do anything.

    well written poem, only advice i would give you is to make your poems form an imagery rather than just rhyming through out the poem and using repetition, as it sounds like any other poem, always make the poem your own :]

    An old but awesome poem, I'm soooo in love with it. It's really inspirational, it gave me a push towards something that I wasn't able to do. So thank you for sharing this..
