Dandelions Song (Triolet)

by Maple Tree   Jul 30, 2012

Dearest dande, lions will cry

scorned by a summer's heated kiss

midnight dew drops share a sweet sigh

dearest dande, lions will cry

stars mating, within a dark sky

passion lilies are nature's bliss

dearest dande, lions will cry

scorned by a summer's heated kiss

A Triolet is a poetic form consisting of only 8 lines. Within a Triolet, the 1st, 4th, and 7th lines
repeat, and the 2nd and 8th lines do as well. The rhyme scheme is simple: ABaAabAB, capital
letters representing the repeated lines.

You're nature pieces are the best. I also found the separation of 'dande' and 'lion' so creative. Beautiful write.

I adored how you have separated dande'lions to let the reader explore different interpretations of the meaning of this...such a good idea! This is one of my favourite forms and you've done such a great job with it..just some suggestions... I think it should be summer's and nature's?
