The Man

by joseph santacruz   Jul 31, 2012

I was losing my life ,anger and strife, clueless hopeless despair
the answer to my survival was written in my bible gathering dust under a stack of playboys somewhere.

When I got high I did not care partying 24/7
felling my life beyond repair unaware my answers coming from heaven.

One fine day I met a man
what he spoke I now understand

Another salesman? the goods hes pushin'?
to save my soul a spiritual cushion

As I listened when he spoke
my hearts now filled no longer broke.

I no longer sleep with the king of deceit or dance with devils from down under
my cries are replaced with a smile on my face
like a rainbow after stormy weather

What I lost he helped me see
and when I asked about his fee?

He said " do all the good deeds you can. The price was paid by the son of man".
