Through With You

by regina   Aug 1, 2012

Just sitting here reminiscing
About the days when in your eyes my whole heart glistened.
About the touch that sent that chill,
Gave me the thrill to show you my desire.
But now it seems I'm just another damp rag
Hanging on the wire.
I called & called, but couldn't make a connection---to your heart
Still waiting to be casted, cuz in your life I play no part.
This feeling seems so strange
Whenever someone mentions your name.

I'm ashamed to admit it,
But you were my addiciton
No matter what wrongs were done,
I vowed to always stay committed.
Now you you wanna up & quit
And feed me with your endless supply of bullsh**!
Oh how easy it is to be selectively naive,
But oh how hard it was to confess that what we had was more than just a fling.

Cuz I was the one who always stood by you,
Helped you make it through,
Only to learn you felt the relationship was overdue
You may have meant me harm, but I took it well.
See, no longer am I your doormat
Fulfilling the only purpose of welcoming more problems, more baggage.
Yes, finally, your wish has been granted.
You've rid yourself of the best thing you ever had
Just to go back to second-hand trash? (lol :)

I comin out on top during this love recession, this emotional opression,
No longer to be your posession.
Cuz I'm stronger,
I'm wiser
How does it feel now that you're no longer the demanded supplier?

So no more apologies or
"Baby come back to me!"
I got my BAD B**** mentality,
And for you there's no need.
You had your chance, which you so nonchalantly blew.
Now it's time to pick up the pieces,
Cuz, Baby, I'm through with you!!

(just an old poem i forgot i wrote) comment and rate :)
