^ so original! beautifully said... I like the peppermint usage too..

I'm so conflicted with your images (in a good way). You go on to talk about images of summer (for me.. peaches) but then the rest really remind me of winter (peppermint, comatose... why that reminds me of winter I'm unsure lol. It gave a really interesting contrast here.

I also really like the beginning with the bankrupt lips... AH what an image!

I love the use of "annual tree". The poem makes me think of someone who you expect and hope to be around for and with you all the time, but they only show up when they decide. Maybe I'm totally wrong here, but that's what I got :) I love this! Nominating it :)

Omgosh! This was beautiful! The images, analogy, the words. Seriously a unique and brilliant right. I fell in love with this because it was so refreshing. I love reading new metaphors, then become jealous I didn't think of them first lol!
