Andrea, beautiful woman, I really enjoyed this poem!!
It shows that you, just like all of us, have to struggle with obstacles and even though it might darken your day, you don't let it take over though it has at some time.
You and your poems are so encouraging for me and I could actually imagine you letting that dark cloud be an accessory because you know that after those dark moments, the sun will shine again.
- it is indeed, i liked this because it could be meaning a feeliing of depression/anxiety etc. Or it could relate also to a memory you have which affects you greatly in your life. I think everyone has a cloud or two which you are describing here.
Searching for change within takes time,
Mother Nature knows I've ran
many highways in my day.
- the reader begins to see here that you have been on a rough journey and it is not as easy to change things we might need or want to change.
The light will come and has for me,
for that I'm truly greatful,
but that dark ole cloud
will never go away-
It sits in the corner, silent
but never forgotten....
- I like the ending, it is like reminding people that no matter how much pain it causes, in time, things will get better even though you may not completely forget, it becomes easier.
Love this one Maple Tree, again I relate to it a lot and about many "clouds " of my own.
