Misplaced love

Why doesn't he see?
What can I do,
All I ever wanted, was an I love you,
Is it just me?
Why can't he see,
The coldness beneath me, coming thru like a sea,
I can't keep on going,
Feels like ice setting in,
Even if i try there's no power within,
I try say it out,
But the words they don't come,
So I stare into space as if I am dumb,
If I say it out loud will he hear what I say?
Like a sharp knife, piercing the skin as it slays,
I know what I want, and I know I can't continue,
With the life I once loved, It's now filled with sorrow,
So I begin what I say, like a mouse in the dark,
Hoping he'll hear and just go, leave me, to embark,
On a journey that is long overdue,
Finding myself and my feelings,
A new happier life too
