This shows how much power he holds over you...you still fear him no matter if he is still there or not. It's one of the qualities that an abuser has... no matter if they are gone, they will still make sure you are scared... they thrive off of that. I hope you have been able to move on from that since I know this is an older poem of yours.

The title is nice, it fits perfectly. Programmed to still go by his commands when he no longer has control over you... yet he still does in a way, in your mind.
