Sitting here, fidgeting my fingers
Frightened yet anxiously waiting to finally see you
It's been so long since we saw eye to eye

Grabbing a quick glance, my eyes were astonished

You smiled to me and asked to stop staring
For it was making you blush with embarrassment
Failing to comply with your request and you turned around
Stopping you half way and I return the hug
Which we both missed dearly for so long
My mind still in disbelief of the situation
Was overcome by what was spoken
You said, "I'm so sorry it took so long for
me to realize my mistakes, please forgive me..."
With that said, my soul was pardoned from the solitude
From all these years and free from the clutches of darkness

Immediately I felt your tears against my shoulder
And then the warmth from the hug gets cold
I opened my eyes and come to realize that
I was still sitting all alone, fidgeting my fingers
All that had happen, was just a vivid dream
Reuniting with you and rekindling our friendship
Was just a fantasy, which I hoped, come true
But will forever remain a distant dream
To haunt my mind for all of eternity...
