Waiting just for a wake up

by Khalid M Darwish   Aug 13, 2012

We resemble the moon and sun
Having lunar and solar eclipses, when despaired

Together, where the water fall had us met,
watching the bear hunting the salmons

I fell asleep having you slept on my hand
Submitting our souls to simulate the dreams

As you were an endless-height tower, I had a dream
Being the ocean crashing your foundations

With each crash I had my promised kiss on licking your feet
slowly eroding their smooth soft surface to the end

You humbly decided to come down your knees
Dissolving and melting your tallness and pride in my humility

Our mixture resembled bears, embracing the smiling dolphins,
and letting them go repeatedly, as a feather entering its inkwell

In each jump, it pens a part of our everlasting dreams
that our molten became 'both-in-one', waiting just for a wake up

    Khal,
I thought this poem was just beautiful!! I think a couple lines need revising in the beginning, "met"..and "slept" sounded a bit off to me.

However, the imagery was gorgeous...and the part about the feather entering the ink well. I thought that was brilliant. I loved it.

Very sweet love piece from you my friend :)
