Blame Me

by Marquesas   Aug 14, 2012

I used to stress over you
Always wondering
Why do you keep tormenting me
You wronged me, and I forgave you
So why keep opening up the wound
I have done nothing to deserve this
Don't you realize the more you provoke me
The more pathetic and despicable you become
Even after I tried to reason with you
After the heart felt pleas and cries for help
All that has happened isn't because of me
The distance between you and your friends
The loss of respect and continued riddicule
You caused all of this, not me
But I see now why you do what you do
You need someone else to blame
A scape goat, a shield
If being angry at me makes you feel better about yourself
If hurting me helps you forget your own pain
Fine, go ahead and do your worst
Just remember that I won't be here forever
Then who will you have to blame
But yourself?

Ok, for starters: she is a big ole meanie buttface if she hurt you. You are a good guy :)

Plus, seems like a crazy blamer to me. Always the tough ones [have one myself: my step-sister].

Anyway, the poem itself is awesome. I liked to flow and all. Especially the rhetorical question at the end :)
