Dark Secrets

by Khalid M Darwish   Aug 15, 2012

In the
cemetery
they buried
their lost own
then departed,
leaving me, alone
I'm the only one alive
with all those dead souls

Light has gone,
leaving the dark
Silence's prevailed,
foreshadowing a storm
Wind has started blowing
with an OGRE whistling voice,
shaping dark dust as night ghosts
Owl's swirling, as looking for a prey
Roaches voice is annoying the silence

Left alone with buried bodies
Clouds started to cover the moon
until it became darker in the midnight
where everything lost its shadow, even me
I'd see reddish brown eyes glowing in the dark
and could hear voices resembling the dog barking
Chills has spread through all my body, erecting my hair
Strange voices like digging and revealing arose close to me

Hiding not so far,
I buried my body,
waiting till it was
real morning sun
where I came out

I was completely shocked,
finding the buried bodies
scattered everywhere as
they were extracted from
the ground and mutilated
by human then by wolves.
