When your tongue dripped silver buckets of verbs
without making a splash

it was then that I questioned you

    Melissa,

You should know by now that I'm fond of your poetry, it never ceases to amazing me but this time I was blown away. I have such a fascination with short poetry lately and this was stunning. When I first opened it up and had a look I wasn't sure what you could possibly say in 3 lines to make it a poem but I guess it teaches me not to judge a book by its cover huh.

Some gorgeous imagery here, "dripped silver buckets of verbs" = how beautiful. That right there is what made the whole piece poetic.

I really liked how the tone changed in the last line, it went from poetic to a simple statement that was extremely powerful.

If I am to examine what silver buckets of verbs would sound like it would be nonsense. Where is the poetry? :(

Such a short piece, but has so much emotion and so many ideas that have me thinking what was going on in your head.. It makes me wonder what did this person say that was so off base or colorful? Usually when people add too many details to a story, it's so they don't get caught in a lie.. thats what made me think of this poem. :) I love it!
