Poetry

The soul has no domain behind
The eyes of viewers in
No No
Today (at least tonight)
It is the unseen cell
With bars of happiness and hell
In which the soul lingers

With its face pressed against a single
Grated window rusted shut
From stormy weather
Waiting
For a cold bureaucracy's release
No No
The soul shall never be free

I for one relate to this, as Infinite Catastrophe aka Alisha suggested. Man, this was very well written, it made me stop and think. It was truly a wonderful experience to read this piece alone.

I'll leave a better comment as soon as I can figure out how to word one.

  • I'm sure poets can relate to this, or writers in general really.

If my interpretation is correct that is.
What I think you're saying is:
A poet's (writer's) thoughts, feelings, memories are trapped within the words they write. Through these words, readers are given a window into the souls, the lives, of the author.
    Is that right?

    Excellent. 5/5
