Something is Wrong

by TSI25   Aug 16, 2012

Something is wrong at the hour of midnight.
Figures dancing, prancing 'round the clock.
Eyes not releasing,
Fingers never ceasing,
To claw at minds, and ears, and souls,
And hearts, but never sight.

Focusing, but never seeing,
Lying down, but never sleeping,
Pupils fixed on ticking clocks,
With shattered struts and deadly locks.
Oh yes...
Something is wrong at the hour of midnight

Wow, I love this piece. The style is amazing. The voice is clear and very wonderfully draped throughout your piece. The descriptions are phenomenal and the theme of the piece is so clear. Excellent, wonderful, magnificent.

  • Once again, your imagery is just flawless!

All I can say is: Brilliant!

I love the fast pace of this and the fantastic images that you create. My only suggestion would be to ditch the very first line, i think an immediate echo doesn't fit in with the rest of the poem, you wont lose any quality for doing so. Just a suggestion, it is your poem. Thanks
