ARCHANGEL

by sargam desai   Aug 16, 2012

Standing at the end of the road

I looked back to the other end

Where it all started

I went back to the time

When I put my first step on this way in this line

There was scrum on that way

But still I was solitary and desolate

I was walking in a stealthy and timid way

But nobody was bothered

To wait for me or stay

The mist and the clouds

Blocked the sun rays

I couldn't see anything

but the smog and haze

Suddenly a seraph passed through that phase

I just saw his hazy and vague face

The weather became surreal and balm

It was time for a new dawn

The sylph that scudded me from inside

Now I can see him crystal clear and divine

He was standing at the roadside

And was looking spry and bright

I was smitten with the way he solaced

He bewitched me in his beguile and enthrall

His conjure made me credulous

And my abstinence couldn't resist his charm or spell

He appeared to be a distant star

So I spurted to accost him

Before he go more far

But that seraph was not for me

Or may be he was an ARCHANGEL

Too difficult to be reached or get

I sprinted for a chimera or mirage

And was left stultified and dazed

He went away with the gal

His wings were meant to solace

He was solicitous to somebody else

I cried and moaned in distress

But it didn't workout

Was completely useless

Because that angel

Was no more there to hold me or embrace

The path was again solitary and somber

I reached the end of the road

And looked back for the ARCHANGEL

For whom once I cadged
