On our school Field
we lay in the grass
but the time has come
to show your feelings at last

you took my hand
gave me your heart
so that we will never
be apart

you told me everything
good and the bad
you held me close to you
so that i wasn't sad

but i had to pull away
tell you what i felt
all of the things
that my heart held

i told you i loved you
but at this moment in time
i was very sorry
but you couldn't be mine

although this is true
i love you still
cause we have something special
and we always will

but until the time
when i don't feel its pretend
then all i can say
is that we are friends
