A phoenix rummages through the sky,
filled with the radiance of youth;
hurling swiftly: days to years
Days go by unknowingly to a child

So solemn the night, lovers pander away,
as a lone eye stares at a dull moon;
Waning in its clarity, gleaming through the fog;
Searching, seeking, for a dear friend: the sun

Forever to be sought, hover 'round the earth;
time flies along with them:
day to day, season to season,
a constant coherence of change

Eternity began at the blink of an eye,
slowly withering at each close
'til youth turns to ashes,
and ashes fill the earth
