Sweet Rose

by layla   Aug 17, 2012

I look up to the sky, to remind me of life
The woman I loved, a mother a wife
Seasons have passed, my memories clear
But slowly they fade, with each passing year

The baby that came, and opened her eyes
Left yours to close, now up in the sky
You are the reason, the sun burns my sight
I look up in the daylight, and also at night

Ill be a great dad, that's what they all say
I wish you were here, every night every day
To assure me of questions, that lay in my mind
I feed her just right, and rock her just fine

When I look down, to the baby we made
I cover her eyes, my hand makes the shade
Looks just like you, her smile her nose
She's named after you, I miss you sweet rose
