Pretending

by tyna   Aug 21, 2012

We've been pretending that nothing's wrong
for so long,
but today I can't hold it in
anymore.
I want to yell at my parents for getting us
into this mess,
it's their fault and it always will be.
Why can't they
just live with what they have
and
not keep wanting more?
We're perfect
but
they don't see that,
they don't see me,
they don't care for me,
they don't want me.
Why can't they just see the amazing person
I can be??

This is such a sad thought that you have to go through this with your parents, I know where you are coming from and have been there too, but as we get older this relationship changes and all I can advise is to hold onto that.

Your poem is good but has some punctuation and spelling errors so i have fixed them for you and will leave it up to you if you want to fix it to this way, your poem deserves to be read the way it will have the best impact on the reader.
