These days...

When did society get so bad?
I'm looking around everywhere shaking my head
There is natural disaters, and disaters we've caused.
Is there ever going to be an end to this cascade of chaos?

I know this little girl named Kim, she's 6 years old.
Digging in garbages for food, and building homes out of old card board.
Daddy left the day she was born, mommy is poor.
Nobody will listen to her so she turned to achohol.

Kim's growing up fast but the world moves faster.
She jut can't seem to get on her feet, it's more than she can handle.
But the marijuana slows her down, and the coke keeps her content.
And the frivoulous boys will tell her just about anything to hit.

No protection and intercourse at age twelve
The father is nameless, not that he'd care.
The moment she spread her legs, her feelings were shelved.
Another falling heart, razor blades and despair.

Nine months later, and the hospital is her temporary home.
In some eyes that's too young to be a mom.
But she's not too young to reproduce.
A new life she had now been introduced to.

It's more difficult than she thought, and the struggle is objective.
She can't get by without the goverments assistance.
People pass judgement, people can be heartless.
Not realizing that they've aided in causing this.

So quick to judge yet so slow to help.
What makes you think so highly of yourself?
