With My Dream

by Yrem Crish   Aug 26, 2012

People always say
there's no color in my way;
my life is down and rough
as they stare at me and laugh.

I just cry silently,
walking ahead;
holding hope in my hands
and strengthen my knees
from determination to stand.

I pretend to be numb,
deaf from the acerbity of their words,
blind from their judgment
and abstain from the askew of their mind.

If they only knew...
the courage I pray
to be strong
and endure all the pains
to bear the burden of my life.

Still, people say:
"You have no wings to fly
and reach your dream in the sky.
You got nowhere to go
but still left in place
where you belong..."

I just cry silently,
walking ahead;
holding hope in my hands
and strengthen my knees
from the determination to still stand.

Despite these all,
I still believe
God is my comrade,
who holds my hand...
to confide-
to conquer-
and adhere-
to follow my dream.

    Is it the mud in the street, in your hands, that keeps the colors from shining? All our hearts beat red with passion, only difference is how we show. I like your poem very much.
